Several writer friends have been encouraging me to make a video book trailer for Ambient Light. So I decided to take the plunge. How’d I do?
By the way, if you have a widescreen monitor and high-speed internet access, try watching it full-screen in 720p or 1080p.
I really liked your video book trailer. Was it easy to make?
Thanks Debbie.
To answer your question, I’d say it was about medium difficulty.
I signed up with VideoBlocks.com (http://videoblocks.refr.cc/RS6X25M <--affiliate link) and used a number of stock video clips, audio clips, and a couple of After Effects templates from them. Most of the work was done in After Effects, then I brought it into Premiere Pro to add the voice over and audio effects, and splice the two AE clips together. And add the rolling credits. I've worked with both After Effects and Premiere Pro before. But I had to relearn some basic stuff. The templates and video clips made all the difference. I'd still be working on it, otherwise, and I'm sure it wouldn't be anywhere near as nice!
